Terms of Service

Back to Home
Last Updated: March 17, 2026

Welcome to COPYFLARE (accessible at Copyflare.org). COPYFLARE focuses on simplicity, speed, and temporary file sharing without the need for accounts.

COPYFLARE is a lightweight tool for creating temporary download links for files that you upload. It is designed for quick, short‑term sharing of non‑sensitive content only.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: COPYFLARE is NOT designed for sensitive files

Due to the nature of our service, COPYFLARE is NOT suitable for sensitive, confidential, or personal information. Files are accessible to anyone with the link, are not intended for secure or confidential storage, and are automatically deleted without recovery options. Do NOT use this service for sensitive data, financial information, medical records, passwords, or any other confidential content.

BETA Status Notice

COPYFLARE is currently in BETA status. This means the system is new, under active development, and may contain bugs, errors, or experience unexpected downtime. By accessing or using COPYFLARE, you acknowledge and accept that the service is provided "as-is" in its beta state.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, uploading, downloading, or otherwise using COPYFLARE, you automatically agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all use of the service.

Eligibility and Age Requirements
  • You may use COPYFLARE only if you are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your place of residence, whichever is higher.
  • By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement with us.
  • If you use COPYFLARE on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.
Service Description and File Handling

How COPYFLARE works

  • COPYFLARE allows you to upload files and generate a unique link that can be shared with others for downloading those files.
  • Anyone who has the link can access and download the files while the link remains active. You are responsible for deciding with whom you share the link.
  • The service is intended for temporary, non‑sensitive file sharing and does not provide guaranteed long‑term storage or archival services.

Free use

  • Free use allows you to create temporary download links subject to limits shown in the interface (for example, file size and expiration time).
  • Files and access codes associated with free links are automatically deleted after the expiration time you select, usually within about one hour after expiry.
  • Free users cannot manually delete files before expiration. Once a link expires and the deletion process runs, the files are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Paid plans

  • Paid plans (such as Single Link, Lite, Pro, Power, and conference plans) allow you to maintain multiple active links, use extended retention compared to free use, and in some cases upload larger files or more presentations.
  • Paid users can deactivate and delete active links from the “Active Links” area in the application. When you delete a link, it becomes inaccessible immediately, and the underlying files are permanently deleted from our systems within about one hour.
  • All deletions (automatic or manual) are irreversible. COPYFLARE does not offer any undelete or backup restoration feature for user files.

Retention periods

  • Retention depends on your plan and on the options you choose when creating or managing a link or conference.
  • In general, files are kept either for a fixed period (for example, a certain number of days) or until the end of your active subscription, after which they are automatically removed.
  • The exact limits and options for retention are shown in the application interface and on the pricing page, and may change from time to time.

Technical processing

  • During normal operation we may process your files as needed to provide the service (for example, to store them, generate download links, or perform basic integrity checks).
  • We do not guarantee that files will be available for the entire configured retention period, and we may remove files earlier where required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
User Responsibilities and Liability

Your Responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for any and all files you upload, share, download, or distribute through COPYFLARE.
  • You are solely responsible for any misuse of the service, including but not limited to uploading illegal content, copyrighted material without authorization, malicious files, or any other prohibited content.
  • You assume all risks associated with using this service and any files you access through it.

No Virus Scanning

  • COPYFLARE does not scan files for viruses, malware, or any other malicious content.
  • You download and use files at your own risk.

No Content Responsibility

  • COPYFLARE is not responsible for the content of any files uploaded by users.
  • COPYFLARE does not monitor, verify, or control user-uploaded content.
Intellectual Property and Copyright
  • You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to upload and share any files through COPYFLARE.
  • COPYFLARE is not responsible for any copyright infringement, trademark violations, or other intellectual property violations committed by users.
  • COPYFLARE complies with applicable copyright and intellectual property laws and will remove or disable access to infringing content when we receive a notice that meets our requirements, as described in the Notice and Takedown section.
  • Any claims regarding intellectual property disputes between you and another user remain, as between you and that user, your responsibility to resolve.
Limitation of Liability

No Liability for Damages

COPYFLARE and its operators are NOT LIABLE for:

  • Any damage to your computer, device, or data
  • Loss of data or files
  • Any viruses, malware, or malicious code obtained through the service
  • Any harm, injury, or damages resulting from your use of the service
  • Any damages resulting from downloading or using files shared on the platform
  • Any interruption or termination of service
  • Any errors, bugs, or system failures

User Harm

If you suffer any harm, damage, or loss as a result of using COPYFLARE or accessing files through the service, you bear full and sole responsibility. COPYFLARE assumes no responsibility whatsoever.

Overall Liability Cap

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of COPYFLARE and its operators for all claims arising out of or related to the service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to COPYFLARE for the service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty (50) US dollars (or the equivalent in local currency).

Subscriptions and Payments

Plans and billing

  • COPYFLARE offers both free access and paid plans (for example, Single Link, Lite, Pro, Power, and dedicated conference plans) as described on the pricing page and inside the application.
  • Some plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly), while other products may be one‑time purchases. The applicable billing model and price for each plan are shown at the time of purchase.

Payment processing

  • Payments are processed by third‑party payment providers such as PayPal. By purchasing a plan, you also agree to the terms, privacy policies, and practices of those providers.
  • You must provide accurate and current billing information and keep it up to date. You authorize COPYFLARE and its payment providers to charge your selected payment method for the applicable fees, including any recurring subscription fees.

Auto‑renewal and cancellation

  • Where a plan is described as a subscription, it will renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date using the tools provided in the service or by following the instructions we provide.
  • If you cancel a subscription, you will retain access to the paid features until the end of the then‑current billing period, after which your account will revert to the free level (or be disabled, in the case of one‑time conference products).
  • Except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise, fees are non‑refundable and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time in a billing period.

Non‑payment and consequences

  • If payment cannot be collected (for example, due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or chargeback), we may suspend or downgrade your plan and restrict access to paid features.
  • After a downgrade or termination of a paid plan, files, links, conferences, or retention periods that exceed the limits of the free service may be shortened or removed. We may delete such content permanently after a reasonable grace period, and you will not be able to recover it.
Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use COPYFLARE to:

  • Upload, share, or distribute any content that is illegal under applicable law.
  • Upload, share, or distribute copyrighted material, trade secrets, or other protected content without the necessary rights or permissions.

  • If the situation is unclear or appears to be a dispute between private parties, we may request more information from you or from the uploader, or direct the parties to resolve the matter directly or through competent authorities or courts.
  • Where legally required or where we consider it appropriate (for example, in serious criminal matters), we may report the content and related information to law enforcement or other competent authorities.

  • We may also suspend or terminate access when required to do so by law, a court or regulator, or where necessary for maintenance, technical, or operational reasons.
  • If your access is suspended or terminated, you may lose access to files, links, and other data associated with your use of COPYFLARE, and we are under no obligation to restore or recover such data.
Privacy
  • COPYFLARE does not guarantee the privacy or security of your files.
  • Do not upload sensitive, confidential, or personal information unless you accept the risks.

  • Your use of the service
  • Your violation of these Terms of Service
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
  • Content you upload or share

COPYFLARE reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
